About Me

I am a creative, an artist, an avid reader, a nature lover, a meditator, a student, and a traveler.

I studied Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University.

Currently, I am a Ph.D. student in Transpersonal Psychology at the California Institute for Integral Studies. My research interests include death literacy, community death care, altered state of consciousness, imagination, and belonging.

I love exploring new ways to nourish my mind, body, and soul and helping support my clients to feed their whole being.

My Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is a blend of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems or parts therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Jung Shadow Work, Depth Psychology, Creative Art Therapy, mindfulness, Emotional Freedom Techniques, and Somatic Psychotherapy.

I like to help clients build a tool kit of coping skills whether that might be practicing mindfulness exercises, encouraging clients to be curious about the different parts of themselves, creativity, what brings them joy, and having tangible skills for coping with difficult emotions.

Services

  • Currently, I provide teletherapy in Washington and New York State. I help support clients who may struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, body image, stress management, life transitions, death literacy, death anxiety, attachment, and relationship issues.

  • Languishing is the space between feelings of depression and flourishing. Settling into adulthood may bring up feelings of emptiness, dullness, stagnation, lack of motivation, existential anxiety, and feeling disconnected from yourself, others, your community, and your career. Languishing may feel like you are just going through the motions. This support group intends to create a space for young people to share their experiences, cultivate practices for moving towards flourishing, build connection, explore the stories you were told about adulthood, and plant the seeds to invite some playfulness into your adult story.

  • I facilitate workshops on stress management, mindfulness, and incorporating self-care into the workplace.

Bonnie Mae

Bonnie is a Chocolate Labrador and emotional therapy dog in training.

She is known to visit the office on occasion and loves to sit with clients (she is also prone to falling asleep during sessions).

Her favorite snacks are cheese cubes, salmon skin treats, and kiddie cups of vanilla ice cream.

Insurance

In Washington, I am in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Washington, Oscar, Premera, United Health Care, and Regence.

For New York and California clients, I offer private pay appointments and can provide superbill for insurance reimbursement.
